2017 PROGRAMME

Saturday 10 June 2017
At Swinpex, St Joseph’s Catholic College, Octal Way, Swindon SN3 3LR, 10.00am to 4.30pm.

This is one of the South's biggest stamp fairs with over 40 dealers. So there will be ample opportunity to add to your collection, and there is an excellent catering facility within the fair.

2.00 pm Meeeting of the Postal Stationery Society. Members are invited to display up to 32 sheets from their collection and to give a short explanation of about 10 minutes maximum. The meeting will close at 4.00pm

Swinpex will be open from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm with ample free parking.


Saturday 8 July 2017 10.00 am - 5.00 pm Midpex 2017 - Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, The Fosse, Fosse Way, Leamington Spa CV31 1XN

No formal meeting. The society will have a table to encourage collectors to join the Society. Members are invited to spare a hour to man the Society's table.

At this event there will more than 50 dealers from around the country and beyond. Refreshments will be available. Free Parking.

A free shuttle bus from Leamington Spa railway station to the Midpex event will be running all day. The first bus from Leamington Spa will be at 9.30 am. The last bus from the Exhibition Centre will be at 5.15 pm.

At the meeting room in the Royal Philatelic Society, 41 Devonshire Place, London W1G 6JY.

10.30 am Viewing of the society's auction lots for the auction to be held in the afternoon.

11.00 am Society’s Annual General Meeting.

12.00 Tony Chilton competition judging, followed by the presentation of the Tony Chilton salver. (Rules for Tony Chilton competition)

12.30 pm Lunch. We will arrange to eat in one of the restaurants close by, and all members are invited to join in. The cost should be no more than about £17 each, including wine.

2.00 pm The society’s “live” auction to be conducted by Neil Sargent.

The meeting is expected to close by about 4.00 pm.



2018 PROGRAMME

Saturday 7 April 2018
At the meeting room in the Royal Philatelic Society, 41 Devonshire Place, London W1G 6JY.

10.30 am Meet for coffee.

11.00 am Chris Howe will give a display of the postal stationery of Belgium.

This display will be followed by the Society's One Sheet Competition, with all members present being asked to vote for their choice of winner.

12.30 pm Lunch. We will arrange to eat in one of the restaurants close by, and all members are invited to join in. The cost should be no more than about £17 each, including wine.

2.00 pm The session after lunch will be for members' displays. Members are asked to bring along a maximum of 32 sheets on a postal stationery theme, and to give a display lasting not more that 10 minutes with a further 10 minutes for viewing.

The meeting will finish at approximately 4.00pm.
